Good Neighbour Agreement Police

All tenants of the Southside Housing Association sign a good neighbours contract in which you declare your responsibility as a neighbour and show how we will work together to ensure that your neighbourhood is and remains a clean, safe and safe environment. A copy of the contract is provided to all our tenants and we keep the original. We understand that this can sometimes be difficult, but we would like to ask all of our residents to take into account the residents and do everything in their power to be a good neighbour and tenant. Our location recognizes that the Good Neighbours Agreement will help solve social problems, reduce their impact on the immediate neighbourhood and facilitate initiatives that improve the safety and viability of 900 block Pandora Avenue. We are aware that individuals will have different levels of tolerance and opinions about what is acceptable, but we would like to ask that everyone be reasonable about what they expect from their neighbours, especially those with young children. The Good Neighbour Group is made up of residents represented by the North Park and Downtown Residents Associations, as well as the City of Victoria and the Victoria Police Department. This group also includes representatives from St Andrew`s School, the Victoria Conservatory of Music, our friends at Central Baptist, St. John the Divine and First Metropolitan Church. Many residents and representatives of the Ministry of Housing and Social Development are participating and supporting the agreement. As a tenant, it is your responsibility to ensure that no person living with you or visiting your home causes problems or nuisances, nuisances or antisocial activities against someone who lives or works in your home, in the common areas of the buildings or the surrounding area, including your neighbours, association officers or our contractors.

The Good Neighbours Agreement is an obligation for the neighbours of the 900 block of Pandora Avenue to communicate with each other, to allay fears, to show respect for the street community and to take agreed action. We meet monthly in our Place Society to discuss existing and new neighbourhood issues by allowing each representative to express their opinion. Everyone has the right to feel safe in their homes and to live in peace. The association therefore considers antisocial behaviour to be a serious violation of the rental agreement. First, we will review the complaint and take all reasonable steps to support and gather evidence. This may include talking to other neighbours and/or witnesses or receiving a police report. Once the first investigations are complete, we will decide how best to deal with this matter.
